Fisher Successfully Defends Billiards Titleby InsidePOOL StaffAllison Fisher successfully defended her WPBA U.S. Open 9-Ball Championship title against fellow countrywoman Kim Shaw this week at the Sandia Hotel Casino in Albuquerque, NM.Fisher did not suffer a defeat throughout the event, which has recently switched over to a new format. With eight players from the winners’ bracket and eight from the one-loss side returning for the shortened race-to-7 televised matches in a single-elimination format, it’s anyone’s tournament at that point.
