Two-Time Billiards Titles for UsseryJ. Pechauer Southeast Open 9-Ball Tour / Savannah, GAby InsidePOOL StaffSweet Savannah, GA, became the hot spot on the SouthÂ’s pool scene the weekend of September 16-17, with a field of 54 showing up at South Side Billiard Club. The J. Pechauer Southeast Open 9-Ball Tour held its tenth stop of the season, and Carolina player BJ Ussery was able to defend his title successfully against David Grossman in this $2,000-added event.Grossman was faced with Paul Brown in the hot seat match and delivered him a 9-0 whitewashing, sending Brown to the west side. Amateur Player of the Year Ussery made his way through the one-loss side, taking decisive wins over Mike Newsome 9-2 and Brown 9-3 to reach the finals. The lofty Grossman received a rude awakening in Ussery, who felt no remorse in dealing him an 11-3 defeat.
