BCA Hall of Fame Induction Moved to May

Changes to HOF include new date and procedures

Colorado Springs, Colorado: The Billiard Congress of America [BCA] has announced that its annual Hall of Fame Induction Ceremonies (formerly held in conjunction with the Expo) have been re-scheduled for the Riviera Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on May 15, 2007. Inductees will be announced at a later date, then recognized at the ceremony which will take place at the Top of the Riv, 24th Floor Monaco Tower, at 6:30 pm.

The new venue is expected to draw a record crowd from among fans, players and spectators who will be on hand for the EnjoyPool.com 9-Ball Championships, the Billiard Education Foundation “Challenge the Stars” benefit fundraiser and the BCA Pool League 8-Ball Nationals.

Tickets to attend the induction ceremony will be available for $15.00 in advance, and $20.00 on site. For more information, contact Carolyn Lewis in the BCA office at 264-8300 x128.

In a related announcement, the newly-formed United States Billiard Media Association — comprised of “professional print, TV, video, marketing and Internet media persons who cover cue sports” — will elect members to the BCA’s Hall of Fame Board, which will nominate and then vote on future inductees. The BCA Board of Directors recently approved the new process, which is expected to be used to carry out the election for the Hall’s Class of 2007 this spring.
