Dates for the $25,000 Viking Tour National ChampionshipsThe Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour and all of the sponsors are proud to announce the following dates for the $25,000 National Championship.NOVEMBER 14th – 19th, 2006The event will start with the traditional $1,000 Added Mini Tournament on Tuesday, November 14th at 7pm.The Mini Tournament gives non Viking Tour Members a last chance to purchase a Viking Tour Card and save $200 on entry fees before the main event.The mini is a standard $1,000 Added Viking Tour event with an entry fee of $35 + $20 Tour Card if ned. The Mini is a single elimination event and usually pays about $1,000 to 1st place.

February 12th, 2006Ussery Pillages Greenville Viking Cue 9-Ball Tourby Matthew PingorGreenville, NC – InsidePOOL Magazines 2004 and 2005 Amateur Player of the Year seems dead set on making a run for the title in 2006. B.J. Ussery continued his winning streak with a victory on the Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour, which stopped at On-Cue Sports Bar of Greenville, NC, for the $1,000-added February 11-12 event. As the 35 players whittled down, Ussery faced Larry Pitman in the hot seat match. Battling on like the soldier he is, Ussery brained Pitman 9-5. The quarterfinals yielded a war between Ty Griffin and John Visotsky. Easily handled, Visotski dismembered Griffin 7-5. Now with the semifinals, Visotsky had a chance at the stable yet flawed Pitman. Maybe Visotsky labeled Pitman as an easy target upon the loss to Ussery. If he did, that was a grave mistake, for Pitman quartered him 7-3.
