Super Billiards Expo Amateur Events Wrap Up

The Super Billiards Expo wrapped up today and the last of the amateur events, the second-chance scramble, and the pro-am bar box finishing off the remaining action. The 15th Annual Super Billiards Expo, an Allen Hopkins production, began March 15 and brought out thousands of eager pool fans and players to the Valley Forge Convention Center.

Wiseman Takes the Helm in Valley Forge Voyage
Three remain to oppose unbeaten Detroit stalwart

With immaculate position play, wily tactic, and just a bit of St. Patrick’s Day luck, Ronnie Wiseman has marched through the UPA’s specially selected field of 64 in the Gabriels Open 9-Ball Professional Players Championship. While the snow storms that have hit King of Prussia, PA, during Allen Hopkins’ fabulous Super Billiards Expo have made it hard for some fans to get in this weekend, those whom are here are happy to stay out of the cold. The arena has been packed and the level of play has risen to the occasion.

Defending Champ Hatch Felled in Valley Forge
Eight left undefeated in Gabriels Pro Players Championship

As the spectacle of the bustling Super Billiards Expo swirls around and a plethora of tournament options are open to their amateur spectators, eight of the top pros in the UPA have risen to the occasion. Featuring former back-to-back winner of this event, Johnny Archer, this group of undefeated players has a distinct edge on those with one loss, who will spend a few more rounds this evening whittling down the field. Last year’s winner Dennis Hatch will not be in action in the arena set aside for the Gabriels Open 9-Ball Professional Players Championship.

Super Billiards Expo Begins

The 2007 Super Billiards Expo, an Allen Hopkins production, began Thursday, March 15, at the Valley Forge Convention Center. This annual event always brings out competitors from all over the country to play in the myriad amateur, professional, and trick shot events.
