Nick van den Berg started the match by winning the lag at the Hotel Zuiderduin, Egmond aan Zee in Holland. He never looked back from there. Engert Makes a Recovery
Germany’s Thomas Engert came back from 3-1 down to defeat Tony Drago and set up a clash with 2005 World Champion Wu Chia-ching.
Drago had started well and looked on course to defeat Engert for the second year running in the PartyPoker.net World Pool Masters, but the German won seven of the last eight racks to seal an 8-4 win.

Players from around the globe joined the 2nd Annual Simonis Amateur Open at Bankshot Billiards in Jacksonville, Florida. World 10-Ball Junior Championships

The first ever Junior World 10-Ball Championships was held at Bankshot Billiards in Jacksonville Florida alongside the pro version of the World 10-Ball Championships. The juniors in the event were top notch and traveled far for the event. Sixteen boys were invited for the Boys Division and eight girls for the Girls Division. Age requirement was 19 years old and under. The event was produced by Dragon Promotions.
