Nick van den Berg started the match by winning the lag at the Hotel Zuiderduin, Egmond aan Zee in Holland. He never looked back from there. Germany’s Thomas Engert came back from 3-1 down to defeat Tony Drago and set up a clash with 2005 World Champion Wu Chia-ching.

The first ever Junior World 10-Ball Championships was held at Bankshot Billiards in Jacksonville Florida alongside the pro version of the World 10-Ball Championships.
